Hi Friends! Sorry for the long silence on the blog front; life has been crazy busy and I’ve had a hard time keeping up. The month of October seemed to fly by with a whooshing sound, and it’s hard to believe November is already here! My medical sales career has been busier than ever, and I’ve been traveling a lot splitting my time around Tampa Bay, Jacksonville and Orlando. I also went on a super fun girls trip to Charleston with my friend History in High Heels, and I spent last weekend with my family at Disney World! Michael has been traveling a lot with his job as well, and we are really looking forward to some much needed time off this holiday season.
I’m working on putting together a full guide from my Charleston trip (and sharing about my fun run-in with the cast of “Southern Charm” – people went crazy over that!). We had the best time eating, shopping and drinking our way through the “Holy City”. I fell head over heels in love, and I could barely walk 10 feet without stopping to take a picture. Charleston has now claimed the title of my favorite city in the US! It’s not hard to see why…
How darling is this outfit?! It has to be one of my favorite looks I have EVER worn, and it makes me so happy! I feel like it has “Elle Woods goes to Charleston” vibes, which speaks straight to my Legally Blonde loving girly heart. That velvet bow top! The military style skirt! Those pumps with the pearl ankle ties!! I literally screamed out loud in the store when I saw them. 🙂 Bonus points because they are actually comfortable!
Rainbow Row is the cutest street in all of Charleston, and it feels like something out of a fairytale. Wouldn’t it be fun to live in one of these colorful homes?! I researched the history behind them, and legend says that they were painted different colors to help drunk sailors figure out how to get home when they were coming back into the port. Who knows if there is any truth to that, but it makes me laugh. If you have an upcoming trip planned to Charleston, you MUST pay a visit to the adorable area of Rainbow Row (e, 83 E Bay St, Charleston, SC 29401).
I just adore these Palm Beach vibes in Mount Pleasant! This was one of my most popular Instagram posts ever – People went crazy for this outfit, that adorable restaurant, or the way I am cracking up. 🙂 Most of my pictures are of me laughing, and I have a hard time being serious. Ashley and I loved this place, but we were so sad to find out it isn’t open anymore. So, who wants to go in together for a new business venture?! And isn’t this eyelet lace top just the cutest?! Such a fun and comfortable piece, and I had fun breaking out my booties for the nice weather Charleston showed us.
Isn’t this such a fun spin on the little black dress? My friend Gentry and I both fell in love with it when we were picking out what to wear for the Junior League “Cocktails & Couture Fashion Show” we hosted this past weekend. It’s perfect for date night and upcoming holiday parties. I just adore the lace and the sassy cutout adds a little je ne sais quoi. It also comes in a gorgeous burgundy color!
I ended up wearing this fun lace number to emcee the event. It was held at the beautiful venue Nova 535, and they had around 300 people in attendance. The models showcased looks from some of the best boutiques in St. Pete, and then everyone danced the night away. Gentry and I had the best time hosting, and we already can’t wait to book our next gig. Such a fun night raising money for the St. Petersburg community with my brunette partner in crime!
This was a fun surprise! I ended up eating dinner on Thursday night where they were filming an upcoming episode of the Bravo TV show “Southern Charm“. When the director walked up and asked me to be an extra of course I was all over it! Do you watch the show? It’s actually the only reality shows I watch, and it’s so good! I got to meet Naomi, Danni, and Katheryn and everyone was very friendly and acted just like they do on TV. Naomi and I bonded over our love for Lisi Lerch earrings! She is wearing the Disc earrings in Gold, and I am wearing the Ginger earrings in Cotton Candy. The Watch Rooftop Bar & Restaurant was the perfect location for the night’s entertainment. Located on top of the super swanky Restoration Hotel, it has fabulous food, drinks, and the best views of Charleston. Definitely add it to your list to experience a little southern charm yourself!
I’m so behind on blog posts I want to write, and I wish there were more hours in the day (or that I could clone myself). In the meantime, I thought I’d share a Instagram roundup and helpful links because I’ve gotten a lot of feedback over there from my recent posts. I try to respond to everyone personally, and I also link the items I am wearing with the Like to Know It App when applicable. If you ever have a question about an outfit I post, you can send me a message, visit the Shop My Instagram page, or find me on Like To Know It. I hope you are having a great week, and thanks for stopping by!
